OTHER WORLD COMPANION (THE ORIGINAL BROADCAST SOUNDTRACK) is the sonic artifact of a year-long multimedia exploration that unfolded between April 2021 and April 2022. Born from a multi-faceted art project, it fused live transmissions from both inner and outer space with original electronic compositions – streaming nonstop as a surreal, immersive broadcast.
At the heart of the project were continuous soundscapes layered with real-time audio from sources like NASA spacewalks, aircraft communication, and municipal transit systems – filtered, transformed, and woven into haunting, atmospheric compositions. These broadcasts were accompanied by algorithmically generated visualizations and streamed live on YouTube, forming a hypnotic fusion of science, sound, and abstraction.
Now, for the first time, the original compositions have been curated and reimagined into a standalone album. Spanning over 80 minutes, OTHER WORLD COMPANION (THE ORIGINAL BROADCAST SOUNDTRACK) features a collection of cinematic electronica ranging from science fiction-inspired themes to meditative ambient collages. While the raw transmissions from the original project are not replicated, their spirit lives on through textured field recordings and newly introduced sonic elements.
