Angry Sky

Today I woke up feeling strange and I pray that everything is arranged. What I see, in fast-forward from my birth, Is a scene with my back to the Earth. With my back to the world this time. I've got a front row view to the passing of a mortal life. I'd give anything to feel your arms around me tonight beneath an Angry Sky.

I breathe in and smell the acrid smoke. I breathe out and all I do is choke. While they're dancing in a circle where Napolean got hurt, It occurs to me how stupid all this myth and dirt, and gold and greed and lies becomes when valued against the beauty of a simple life. I see a starship cutting a contrail from left to right against an angry sky.

I just want to go home....

I swear I saw the sun and the moon and my soul collide beneath an angry sky. (Yes, she was angry).

Oh, don't let them Rache. Don't let them take me alive when I still haben't figured out how I'm going to say goodbye. I'm gonna reach out and find your love on the other side of this angry sky. This angry sky. Angry sky. Sky...
